hurrah
the paper is written. the paper is proofread (by someone else, thank God). the paper is printed. stapled. sitting here on my desk so I can't forget to bring it back here tomorrow. it will stay here overnight, because after all this work, there's no way I'm going to risk leaving it at home.
home. I'm going home soon. AMS is still working on some stuff, but when she's finished, we'll be on our way. here she is. and that's it. no more Faramir.
Welcome to the eerie twilit life of those creatures known only as “grad students.” Please, have some punch and cookies. Put your feet up. Stay a while.
About me: aside from the title (which is pretty self-explanatory), I work on computers, grade many papers, and teach freshman English classes. Sometimes, when the moon sits just so on the horizon and the air is tinged with the scent of cheddar bagels, you can hear me gripe about my days. But really, I do enjoy what I do. Hopefully, you can see that beneath the rest.
Knitting: my current project is a lace shawl for my mother. periodically, there will be photos of its progress or lack thereof.
Dissertation: working on two ideas as the moment, one of which is the continuation of [Franken]thesis. See below:
[FRANKEN]THESIS UPDATE: DONE!!
BRIDE OF [FRANKEN]THESIS: in the planning/plotting stages. Mrs. Frank will be a pleasurable experience, I think.
SON OF [FRANKEN]THESIS: Little Frank Jr isn't yet conceived, but he's bound to come about sometime. Maybe he'll have siblings.
