He Is Risen!
Let's see. What's new around here?
I've chosen my apartment, and this afternoon, I'm heading on over there to sign up. It's exciting times in that regard. It's a nice upstairs two bedroom with linoleum (the pieced kind) in all rooms but bedrooms and living room. I see easy cleaning in my future, and a lot of fun watching Charlotte slip and slide as she thunders down the hall. I'd have my own water heater, so this 5+ week stint with no hot water (or even warm) will not happen again. My weights and gazelle can go in the study (I'd have a study!) along with the desk and most books. Yes, it'll be hell getting stuff up those stairs, but you know, I want to live upstairs this time around. (Plus, the upstairs versions are the same but cheaper by virtue of being upstairs... not sure what that means.)
I may be getting a second job this summer grading CLEP test essays. I'll keep you all posted on that. I'd rather like to do it, although it starts on the 11th of June... What that translates to is that I'd better be so nearly done with the thesis as makes no difference by then. My goal is as follows:
All film stuff will be finished by the 24th. The paper's due then, and the presentation the week after, but if you're presenting on a paper, it only makes sense to have both done at the same time. And I finally found a topic that will actually work. Cool.
After the 24th, I teach on T and will work extra hours, starting early and getting off late. On Wednesday, I'll be working way early and getting off way late. Thursday I'll teach et al, and work late, trying to get the NITE bus out to the car in satellite (just to see if it'll work for later), and...
more later. got a horrible draft here that requires tag-team commentary.

In view of your most recent "didn't write my paper" student, 'Mira, the above writer's blog is quite enlightening, lol.

That reminds me, actually. I ought to put up a small disclaimer to prevent any misunderstandings:
There can't be any "further assistance" if there isn't any "initial assistance" and I don't think commenting on my blog counts as assistance in any case. So please, folks, don't go thinking I condone this "we'll write that paper for you, hon" attitude, or that I've ever contacted this woman for help with any paper. I'm not sure where she got the idea that I'd be interested in her brand of "assistance". Oh well. It isn't exactly an inflamatory comment, so it'll stay up.
And if all of you all needed a clue, the rejoinder is "He is risen indeed, allelujah!" Just, you know, a tip. For next year, maybe.

KM,
She's got an interesting take on things. I just now popped over to her blog, and ... I try to make it a point not to leave rude or negative messages on people's blogs, so I couldn't comment.
