Happy Halloween, Folks
I've got great ideas spilling through my head for this paper due Tuesday. I should be able to write about half of it before bed. I'll start out with an analysis of User-Centered theory when applied to the writing center, and then I'll detail how a few other terms fit in with it. Before I was going to examine the possible uses for plagiarism, but I don't think I can get 8-10 pages out of that. I've only got about ten more first reads to do by Monday, and since they're the 3.1 drafts, it should only take me about thirty minutes for each one. That's about my average time for 3.1. If I do them all in a row, I can probably knock my time down to about twenty minutes. Familiarity will do that.
I'll probably have a door full of punks way later tonight, as in after today has gone by. I think I'll go buy two bags of really cheapo candy to set out in a basket. While I'd love to do the distributing thing, I can't risk it with Charlotte being so crazy to escape. Poor thing. Makes quite a ruckus. Maybe the kiddies will think of it as sound effects.
Well, the prof for pedagogy 2 sent out one of his famously long mass emails, telling us that our philosophy statements are due by midnight Tuesday. I looked at his precious online syllabus. Says very clearly that the assignment is due by FRIDAY at midnight. I'll take this up with him in class. I've got a copy of the screen as it was earlier, and it clearly states that I'm right. Even if he sneakily goes in and changes the syllabus, assuming that none of us have hard copies, I still have my proof. So. I don't plan to have it done by Tuesday at midnight. I have too many other things to accomplish by then, and I need more time for them.
Charlotte has decided she likes to roll around on the top shelf of the black metal shelving unit. I think she likes the height and the coolness of the metal. I moved a box so she'd have more room, and put a vase of shells in a closet. Funny, how all the stuff I wanted to display has ended up in a closet. Hell, I might as well not have most of it, since I can't really look at it all that often. I might go through some time and cull about a third of it. I'm not sure what I can put on the shelves to replace the hidden goods, but right now that shelf looks mighty bare. It needs some stuff.
Okay, folks. I'm done rambling. Got to go write that paper if I want to sleep tonight. I'll tell you if I get any kids over in about seventeen hours or so.
End.

Clocks were changed at 2 AM on Sunday - so check your computer it should change the time automatically or call the local time number on the phone or check out the news on TV. Basically you gain an hour in October (fall back) so you should be rested.
I would suggest that you not put candy outside your door. Just don't answer your door, pretend you are not home. Your apt. complex is mostly adults isn't it? You probably won't get kids anyway. sr
