In a little under one (1) hour, I will be eating dinner at upwards of $20 dollars a plate at a fancy restaurant with a Pulitzer-Prize winning author. I am at once excited by this and terrified to go out my door. Expensive restaurants probably call for more than jeans, so I've worn that nice reversible skirt and a matching t for the day. Nice and casual because some of the others going are *not* the dress up types, and not jeans, because I would feel more awkward than I do if I were the poorest dressed of the bunch.
Good Lord, keep my mouth shut unless some of Your brilliance is fixing to pop out. And help me navigate the car into the proper parking lot. On time. But not pathetically early.
And with a deep breath, we're off. Possibly to eat some fancy-shmancy quail in sauce or braised duck breast or other expensively exotic fare. I'll be back later unless I say/do something so stupid/embarrassing that I don't feel up to reporting it.
Love and Peace (and Luck!)

'Mira -- that was a wonderful prayer! I wish more people could be as real with their faith as that. Hope the dinner has gone well. ;-)
