Happy Easter, Folks!

Okay, you know the drill:

He is Risen! He is Risen, indeed! Alleluia!

There you go. Now we're in the Easter spirit.

Things I did this Easter:

  • Church at ten (the latest Easter service I can ever remember attending; it was nice)

  • A trip over to Walgreens to pick up the last of the vacation photos

  • A trip to Walmart (in Mr. T's car) to purchase a tire iron

  • A trip back to Walgreens to change the tire

  • A trip home, since Wal-mart here is not into fixing cars on Easter

  • Grading ("glorious" grading!)

  • Dinner at home (chicken broth fortified with actual chicken and some carrots)

  • The grading continues

  • This entry

So. How did you spend your Easter? A prize to the first responder to actually answer the question. (Read the name of this blog before you go expecting anything spectacular. I'm dirt poor.)

On the whole, this has been a joyful day, regardless of the grading and the tire. I've discovered two churches in the area which have well lit interiors. Wow. And a rather laid back way of doing things. Also not bad.

Oh, and when you listen to a bunch of Catholic choirs sing Ave Maria repetitively while you grade, you tend to be a whole lot more merciful with the poor worms. I think I like it.

I've still got the majority of the first reads left to do, but with no class on Monday, I should be able to get it all done.

A very wonderful Sunday.

Okay, I now must go rescue the rest of my broth from the prowling cat. I hear her on the counters again.

end.
