Day ... ah screw it. It's another Day.

Hello to my people. Hope your days were as magnificent as mine was. I parked well and without hassle, I got a very good workout trekking to class, I used the stairs all day, I walked across to the accounting building for some paperwork 101, and had birthday cake.

Today it was "celebrate the birthdays of the month" day, and there was a huge cake for us faculty/staff to devour. I'd say we did a good job of it, because I came back by that room about an hour later, and there was nothing but crumbs and a few forks. Feeding frenzy, I tell you. We get vicious about our parking and our cake. Watch out.

Our first real class meetings took place today. The first day is never real, no matter how well-organized the prof; it's always syllabus, policies, expectations, etc. But we actually got stuff done today in our feminism class. We had real discussions about first wave feminism, and all of that.

Can't say much (that's nice) about the other class that met today. It's a pedagogy class, and they aren't ever much fun. "Pedagogical trainer" is a fancy way of stating that you have no idea what you're saying, but somehow, it will help others to teach. I hope so. There was more of the infamous "I" today, and a new series of guhs. We are now to see whether students "gog it" by "reaging" their papers. The more I hear her, the more I pick up the guh thing, although it's fairly faint. I've got to stop doing that, since it's starting to distract me. And it's mean.

Lets see. Cake (!), class, and what else? Oh, let's go and do a CCC thing. Cake, class, and cats. I took Charlotte home with me today, although I had planned to do this type of thing Friday. She's three months old, twice as old as Drizzt, and is very house trained. This cat is absolutely beautiful, and good-natured as well. She's gentle, playful, and sleeps whenever I sit down somewhere for too long. So far, she enjoys playing near the window. Charlotte is a tiger stripe cat, with a grayish peach background. Her markings are bold, and perfectly symmetrical. It's amazing. What isn't amazing is the neon pink collar she wears, which will be replaced soon.

Other than this, my day has been spent reading. I did get to the office fairly early, and I spent a lot of time there going over my assignments. I might be bringing my fish to the office tomorrow, depending on how much of an interest the cat takes in them. We'll see.

Okay folks, I've been awake for entirely too long today, so I'm going to crash. See you all tomorrow. Or later tonight if the brand new smoke detector battery isn't as brand new as the package said it was. Right.

End.
