sooooooo glad

you know i really think i'd have died on the way home if i hadn't stopped at the nearest convenience store. the cough syrup is a necessity while driving, or one has coughing fits to the point where one's foot on the peddles is not so firmly connected and one's hands want to clutch at the ribs instead of the wheel.

since i'm blogging, i'm alive still. i stopped at this gas station i'd never really noticed before, and i bought the first cough med i saw. in the car, i poured the dose and waited several lengthy minutes before driving again. the rest of the way i was fine, a few coughs but nothing dangerous... but still, it's definitely not something i'd like to repeat in my life. i was a better driver with mono.

and this neighbor across the way (they're new and unaccustomed to the dogs downstairs) just yelled about dogs barking late at night. a) it's not very late. b) i apparently don't sound human anymore, and it makes me sad. c) i'm increasingly unfond of this cough.

tomorrow i'm going back to walgreens for more of the expectorant syrup. i like it better than this one i grabbed at the gas station. i don't have a fever anymore, and there's no need to treat a headache, stuffy nose, etc. when the only problem anymore is the cough. but it got me home. for that, this crap deserves a place of honor in my medicine box.

tomorrow i'm also cooking the second spaghetti squash. so ems who is interested is asked to be patient until i can tell her the best way to cut that thing open. so far, my vote is via chainsaw.

love and peace
