Cup-O-Noodles!

Purchased thirteen Cups-o-Noodles today. Six chicken, six shrimp, and one beef. I'm not too fond of the beef, but decided to get it anyway. Ate it for lunch. Also have shampoo now, and a step stool, so I can actually use that top cabinet.

I made a gallant attempt to attend church this morning. I got dressed for it, left the apartment in time, and didn't get lost on the way. I was in time for the 10:30 am services, but when I got there, their "summer hours" stated that services started at 9. The frustration. This was the first Sunday when I wasn't bedridden or too exhausted to do more than putter around the place like little old retiree. And I missed church. Next Sunday I'm going to a church right by my apartment. The hours on their sign say services at 10:00 am. I can make that, and I *know* they have no freaky summer hours.

The whole concept of summer hours is a little disturbing to me. God is unchanging, so why shouldn't the times for church be that way too? And why earlier in the summer, instead of later? Summer is when all the students of all ages get to sleep in. School workers do too, I know, my mom was one for a long while. So doesn't it make more sense to have the services either not change, or start later? I suppose I ought to have called them and verified their ad in the phone book, but I really hadn't expected summer hours. Well, instead of church, I went to Walmart and bought groceries.

It's kind of ironic, in a way. For my theory class, we are to read an article called "Intention." I wonder if my intentions of going to church count for anything. I'll have to read the article and find out, won't I? I might get back to you on that, if I remember. Ah well. There's nothing more to say, so I'll post and be gone. End.
