Oh, the horror

Three concepts for you:

Kitchen

Cat Food

Ants

There. Now you understand the title. I need to go buy a new bag of cat food for Charlotte tomorrow to replace the ant-ridden one, and I gave her some boiled chicken tonight to make up for her going hungry during the day. She's forgiven me, it seems, for locking her in the bedroom/bathroom area today to keep her away from the Raid. It's dried now, and I don't think it will do as much damage if she decides to slurp at the floorboards.

Other than that, I spent a very nice day at school, going over articles on Puritan religion and disease, grading, and talking about Great Expectations. Yes, strangely enjoyable the whole mess, excepting the ants.

Those of you who know me can probably see me cringing at the door of the kitchen, praying desperately for someone to save me from having to actually come into contact with the nasty creatures. Alas, there was no one, and I acted responsible for once.

Tonight I have decided to dedicate my time to writing what I want to write. It may be selfish, but I'm just plain sick of writing for class, and reading for class, and thinking for class. I'm going to work on my novel tonight, until 12, when I will go to bed. If I get to a nice stopping place. I might not. You know how that goes.

My brother's scarf is a whole 8 inches long at this point, and about as wide. It's a tube scarf! I might have to give up and make one that's a bit narrower, because this thing is just too, too wide. But I do have the concept down, and believe I can craft something he'll truly wear. (What a concept!)

I've got the Big Bird Scarf ready to mail, and the one for SR. I wonder if JR would like one. Ah well. The Muse is calling, and I can't turn her down.

End.
